Being replaced by Inge Shannon in 1984, the group recorded the 'Fusion' 12" single later that year. The record was originally planned to be an album, but two unfinished recordings were left out during the process (one untitled track and the later MH recording "Deep Inside Me" featured on his 1986 double-album 'Cutting Through').

Inge Shannon had worked with MH in the cult project Pesteg Dred back in 1981 (the third member of this band being Per Hendrichsen of Under For). During this period the group recorded 'Years Of Struggle Against The Lies, The Stupidity And The Cowardice', an album that never got released as an LP, but became available as an MC many years later with Atlas Magazine no. 1 (1985).

http://www.martinhall.com/uk/record.asp?ID=66

Credits: Bass - Henrik Möll
Vocals - Inge Shannon
Vocals, Drums, Keyboards, Composed By, Producer - Martin Hall

Tracklisting:

A

Transaction (7:37)

B1

Care (4:46)

B2

Fanfare (4:19)

SS-Say - Fusion (1985)Nowhere Girlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08160975704481967368noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854376197690033589.post-36775076629115373862009-04-15T07:57:00.002+02:002009-04-15T08:05:07.336+02:00ReuploadsHi everyone

I've reuploaded two things today:

P4
Dom Mody (thanks to Ziggy)Nowhere Girlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08160975704481967368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854376197690033589.post-89346619728118004502009-04-11T08:13:00.005+02:002009-04-11T08:59:24.354+02:00Games - Dance This WayGames - Dance This Way/Love Canal

One of my favourite records ever. A perfect marriage of the late 70's and early 80's sounds. The song "Love Canal" beats everything.

Games were a synthpop band from Wirral, Merseyside, formed in 1980 by Brendan Coyle (synthesizer), Colin Hughes and Steve Knott (vocals, guitar). The group were influenced by electronic bands of the time, like Roxy Music, Japan and Human League[1]

"Their first disc was a single, First Law of Games, released in 1980. During 1981, their later material appeared in two compilations, Street To Street - Volume Two, which featured the songs "Unrest In The Real World" and "The Song", both recorded that year; and The Bogus Compendium, released only in cassette, in March 1981[2].

In early 1982, Chris "Teepee" Shaw (synthesizer), formerly of Dalek I Love You, joined as fourth member, and, alongside him, the band recorded and released their last single Dance This Way, in February 1982, before disbanding the end of the year.

Knott reunited the band in 1983, but for one only gig at Pickwick's. That time, the band comprised also then Dead Or Alive guitarist Wayne Hussey (later The Mission singer) on guitar, Bran Jones on drums and David Hughes (formerly in Dalek I Love You and Godot) on synthesizer.

Tracklist:

1. dance this way
2. love canal

Games - Dance This Way 7''Nowhere Girlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08160975704481967368noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854376197690033589.post-51335580368381414482009-04-07T09:43:00.003+02:002009-04-07T10:05:59.599+02:00Chandra - Transportation - 1980
Chandra - Transportation

Go Go Records 1980

"Chandra Oppenheim is a young female vocalist (12 years old when this was recorded) and is backed by The Dance with production from Euginie Diserio on this 4 track EP released on Go Go records in 1980."

The Chandra EP has been reissued and the package includes 4 unreleased tracks recorded with the Chandra Dimension as well as a 32-page booklet. They had strong guitar hooks and vocals that drip with seductive morbidity. Extremely dynamic, they were one of the best goth punk bands. Their guitarist was extremely talented, and they often had keyboards added into the mix. The songs could be slow and brooding, or fast and aggressive.
Blood and Roses covered songs from John Carpenter's soundtrack work, some of the most modernly creepy soundscapes to be included in horror/sci-fi movies in the eighties, that make for perfect deathrock instrumentals.

Guitarist Bob Short and Dave Roberts (Sex Gang Children) grew up in the Kill Your Pet Puppy collective (an anarchist/anti-vivisection group) in the 70s. Lisa Kirby, the singer, also did the album artwork for most of the Blood & Roses records, including the illustration for "(Some) Like it Hot".

"

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; It was founded in 1981 by Tom Ferris (keyboards, percussion) and Cal Stephenson (keyboards, vocals). They were joined by Madeleine Morris (vocals) and Mark Jowett (guitar) later that year. Moev's debut album, "Zimmerkampf," appeared in 1982.
After their first label (San Francisco based "Go! Records") went broke in early 1983, band member Mark Jowett and manager Terry McBride formed Nettwerk Records in early 1984 to release Moev material. Singer Madeleine Morris departed, leaving Cal Stephenson to fill in temporarily. Thank goodness I'm finally online! Hopefully the appetizer is good enough - here you find five tracks from several bands (Abecedarians, Odessa, Seventeen Steps, Auscult...) that sound like Joy Division. I must say when I first heard Seventeen Steps I just couldn't believe it's not Ian Curtis himself. ;)

Well, enjoy Dead Souls.

V/A - Dead Souls Nowhere Girlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08160975704481967368noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854376197690033589.post-58099924528675384142008-07-19T12:16:00.004+02:002008-07-19T12:42:45.045+02:00E-Vent - Sequin (Remix)

obscure band, known mostly for the song - Sequin (Remix) which appeared on the Return Of Flexi Pop Vol.1.
7 minutes of dark synth-pop, highly recommended.

Here you can buy Sequin 12''

E-Vent - Sequin (Remix)Nowhere Girlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08160975704481967368noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854376197690033589.post-60052139443650553012008-06-24T14:55:00.001+02:002008-06-24T14:57:32.658+02:00dj setSome time ago I was asked to dj after the Attrition concert in Szczcecin, Poland. Unfortunately their gig had to be postponed and there was some kind of noise party instead. As you may guess I don't play noise music at all, so my set has been waiting for better days. Now it's its chance to have the audience. I picked some obscure tracks (such as ultra rare 7eme...) as well as wider-known stuff (das kabinette) - hope you'll like it.

SETNowhere Girlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08160975704481967368noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1854376197690033589.post-44702971348118998142008-06-19T18:32:00.001+02:002008-06-21T22:07:47.165+02:00Ceramic Hello - The Absence Of A Canary V1.1 Side C+D
Sorry for my long silence, but I was busy due to exams. As a compensation I post something that you're definitely going to like: great tune from Canada, which has been re-released by Vinyl On Demand recently. I can guarantee nobody will be disappointed in The Absence Of A Canary. Now that's what I call DARK SYNTH.
Highly recommended!

I also have some good news for you. Once upon a time there was a band from NY, called Eleven Pond. What about them? Well, check out this blog and you'll find out that they'll propably re-release the album which was limited to 500 copies and it's now very hard to find. Luckily, you can download mp3 files from that blog, and I can also guarantee you won't be disappointed in Eleven Pond, especially in their song Watching Trees (seriously... I can't get it out of my head!) If you like Eleven Pond and feel like having their re-release, please add some feedback under that post or here.
